Stockholm Healthcare Services
We provide healthcare on behalf of Region Stockholm. Our healthcare centres and clinics are many people’s first point of contact with the healthcare system.
Every year, we provide healthcare for around 5 million outpatient visits, and around 600,000 days of healthcare for inpatients. This makes us one of Sweden’s biggest care providers.
We have a presence in most of the municipalities in Stockholm County, and in all urban districts of Stockholm. Stockholm County is home to around 2 million people.
We have a great responsibility
We are part of Region Stockholm and our mission is to develop and provide healthcare in your area. We are firmly convinced that healthcare is better when decisions are made as close as possible to the patients.
We have a lot of responsibilities, which means we must work to make continual improvements to the healthcare we provide. It is our belief that care is better when decisions are made in close consultation with patients and those close to them. All of our healthcare units work with a large amount of independance and are responsible for their own results.
We are a tax-financed public administration, and we place great importance on transparency and the public’s right to freedom of access.
